Baby Bump Watch - Week 18

February 26
by Kevin

In response to multiple requests for the baby bump shot, we will try to keep everyone posted on the growth of mommy and baby on a weekly basis!

Here’s a shot of Linda right now:

And thanks to The Bump, we can also give you an idea of how the baby is growing inside the womb! Baby Ly-Pang is currently the size of a sweet potato:

She has become amazingly mobile, passing the hours yawning, hiccupping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. We saw a little demonstration of this at the ultrasound. I wish we had been able to get some video footage of that for everyone to see. Unfortunately, it is against Newport Hoag’s hospital policy to film while an ultrasound is taking place.

Big News on Baby

February 24
by Linda

Welcome to our new family blog! We’re putting a little something together to keep everyone updated on the going ons of our growing family. There’s a Flickr stream at the bottom of this page that will update occasionally with 8 recently uploaded photographs. We’ll also post photographs and video footage (courtesy of our new Flip Mino HD). Feel free to leave us comments!

We’ll be inaugurating this blog with some big news:

We just found out at today’s ultrasound. Unfortunately, due to all of her squirming, we couldn’t get one clear shot of her full body profile. Great grandma, grandma, Kevin and I all went to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach and had the baby’s second ultrasound. The baby is much bigger now and growing right on schedule at 9 oz. This ultrasound was definitely much more exciting. The last ultrasound we had produced a sonogram with what looked like a sea turtle. Baby Girl Ly-Pang is much bigger, friskier, and more active now. It made for a great show on the TV screen for us, but gave the ultrasound tech a terrible time as she tried in vain to take measurements.

Included below is a humorous video of Kevin and his first present for the baby. I make a humiliating cameo at the end in a head band I bought for the baby.
